يرى وليد صلاح الدين، لاعب الأهلي السابق، أن هناك بعض الأسماء البارزة مرشحة للجلوس على دكة البدلاء في مباراة الفريق أمام صن داونز، بإياب نصف نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا، يُمكنهما صنع الفارق حال مشاركتهما.

وقال وليد صلاح الدين في تصريحات عبر برنامج “الحريفة” على إذاعة “أون سبورت إف إم”: “من المتوقع أن يتواجد محمد مجدي أفشة وحسين الشحات على دكة البدلاء في لقاء الإياب، أفشة شارك في 7 مباريات بدوري الأبطال هذا الموسم بمتوسط 268 دقيقة، سجل خلالها هدفًا وصنع هدفين، وهذا يؤكد تأثيره الكبير عندما يتواجد في الملعب، سواء من حيث السيطرة على الكرة أو التمريرات الدقيقة”.

وتابع: “أما حسين الشحات فشارك في 9 مباريات بإجمالي 510 دقائق وسجل 3 أهداف، وهذا رقم كبير يعكس تواجده وتأثيره الإيجابي مع الفريق”.

وأضاف: “من وجهة نظري، أفشة بنسبة كبيرة لن يبدأ المباراة، بينما حسين الشحات فرصته في المشاركة الأساسية ضعيفة، خاصة مع تواجد أشرف بن شرقي في التشكيل”.

And it made this game all kinds of breathtaking. The result, if anyone cares, is that Gujarat Titans chased down 196 to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets. But honestly, this was way more. This was the IPL at its most vivid, pulse-pounding, heart-breaking best.Because in the space of 40 overs, we saw the future of Indian cricket and the enduring brilliance of one the greats in T20 history. Rashid actually did the unthinkable twice, bowling his fifth-most expensive spell ever but then turning around and hitting three sixes in the final over and winning the game off its very last ball.To get it to that point though, Titans needed Wriddhiman Saha at the top, scoring 68 off 38 and Rahul Tewatia in the middle, plundering an unbeaten 40 off 21.The most unreal battle
Abhishek has come up against Rashid only once before. But that’s in an actual IPL match. Who knows how many times these two had sparred at Sunrisers training. A fast bowler leaking runs in the last over goes back to basics. And Shashank, yet again, was waiting for it. Yorker turns into full-toss. Scooped for six over fine leg.Markram was supposed to be Sunrisers’ pace-hitter, and he was, scoring 56 off 40 balls in a third-wicket partnership with Abhishek that contributed 96 off 61. Malik needed only four deliveries to break through. Until then, everything the Titans touched was ending up on the boundary.Saha is a deeply underrated batter, especially in the powerplay, where his strike rate of 134.04 has him rubbing shoulders with legends like Virender Sehwag, Adam Gilchrist and Chris Gayle.He was single-handedly leading a team with a flawed top three into a winning position. But then Malik came on and broke his opening partner’s stumps. 69 for 1. Then he broke Saha’s stumps. 122 for 3. Then David Miller’s. 139 for 4. At the end of Malik’s spell (4-0-25-5), ESPNcricinfo’s forecaster gave Titans a 12% chance of winning the game. And that was enough to wind Tewatia up.The required rate was 17.5 when he sent one of the season’s best death bowlers for 12 runs in the 19th over. T Natarajan missed his yorker by just a few inches and that was enough for the full-time miracle worker to smash it over deep midwicket for a six.Still, Sunrisers had 21 runs to play with in the final over. But that came down to 15 when Tewatia slog-swept Marco Jansen’s first ball for another six. That bent-knee strike is just lethal, and has a range spanning mid-off to square leg. All it takes is the slightest mistake from the bowler and Tewatia is already under the ball, preparing to send it into orbit.Even with all that, it came down to Titans needing nine off the last two. Jansen knew this was it. He had to win the game with this ball. His best bet was hiding it from the batter’s reach. Wide yorker.Sliced for six.Rashid broke the game open with that shot. And he was able to do that because he knows the way a bowler will think in that situation. After that, it was just a matter of those incredible wrists powering the ball over the rope.Three off one now. Jansen goes slower bouncer. Rashid hooks on instinct. It flies to long leg. Natarajan is there. He leaps. The entire ground country holds its breath. A split second stretches into eternity. The ball beats the fielder. By inches. And the game is over.Except it’s not. Because we’ll still be living it for years to come.

The left-winger has impressed for Real Valladolid since arriving in the summer and could be set to earn a big move just half a season later in what would mark sensational progress for the 22-year-old. Given Liverpool’s left-wing options, however, it remains to be seen whether they’d make such a move this winter.

"Great" Moro could struggle for game time at Liverpool

With Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo already competing for that left-wing spot in the current Liverpool side, adding one more option on that side would hand Slot a needless headache. At 22 years old too, Moro needs game time more than ever, making a move to Anfield one that he’d arguably be best to avoid for the time being. Of course, resisting Anfield is easier said than done, however.

The young winger has earned plenty of praise throughout his rise into a La Liga gem, including from Football Talent Scout Jacek Kulig, who described one of his first seasons as “great” during his Lazio Primavera days in 2020.

Kulig was right to highlight Moro’s talent, that’s for sure. Four years later, he is a young player on the rise in La Liga, with three goals and one assist potentially just the beginning of his impact for Real Valladolid. One to keep an eye on, Liverpool or others in the Premier League could yet decide to push on and secure Moro’s signature in 2025.

Para o duelo contra a La Verde, o técnico Tite não poderá contar com os atacantes Neymar e Vini Jr., que estão suspensos após receberem cartão amarelo na vitória contra o Chile, na última quinta-feira. Além deles, o goleiro Weverton sofreu uma lesão e foi cortado. Santos, arqueiro do Athletico-PR, foi convocado para seu lugar.

Em relação ao time que enfrentou os chilenos no Maracanã, Tite promoveu sete alterações na equipe titular, deixando apenas Alisson, Marquinhos, Lucas Paquetá e Antony (veja a escalação abaixo). Em entrevista coletiva, o treinador comentou o fato da partida ser realizada na altitude de3.600 metros, e disse que a Seleção será mais conservadora na busca pelo ataque.

-A gente sempre tem uma expectativa, independentemente das adversidades colocadas. Não vai ter um time tão vertical como temos sido nos últimos jogos porque não permite, é desumano, não há essa condição. Existem outras estratégias, de posse de bola. Claro que não vai conseguir colocar o mesmo ritmo, essa velocidade que a gente emprega nos jogos em casa ou em condições normais – declarou Tite.

Newcastle United are reportedly now showing new interest in signing an “outstanding” player in the January transfer window, replacing an outgoing player in the process.

The Magpies have been linked with various possible new signings in recent weeks, including Paris Saint-Germain winger Marco Asensio. The former Real Madrid player could look for a move away from his current club this month, and Paul Mitchell and Eddie Howe may be looking to pounce.

Bournemouth wide man Antoine Semenyo is another name who has been thrown into the mix, as Newcastle look to solve their right-sided issue, despite the impressive form of Jacob Murphy of late. Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo has also been mentioned as an option in that position.

The Magpies are reportedly in pole position to complete the signing of AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori, too, with a new face at centre-back needed in the January window. The Englishman is thought to be keen on a return to the Premier League, having formerly been at Chelsea.

A move for Barcelona youngster Vitor Roque has also been mooted, with the striker struggling to make a positive impression at the Catalan giants. It remains to be seen if Newcastle will be able to get a transfer over the line, though.

According to a fresh claim from Football Insider, Newcastle are now showing renewed interest in Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford, having wanted to sign him during last summer’s transfer window.

The young Englishman has been eyed up as a replacement for current Magpies stopper Martin Dubravaka, who is set to leave this month, coming in and providing competition for Nick Pope in the process. Magpies chiefs have fresh confidence that a deal is possible this month after failing in the summer window.

Trafford appears to be a genuinely strong target for Newcastle at this point, and it makes complete sense to replace Dubravka with him, before potentially usurping Nick Pope as first choice between the sticks over time.

He is a highly-rated ‘keeper who is already such an influential player, with Vincent Kompany heaping praise on him after a draw away to Brighton last season, saying: “His season has been no different to everyone else in the team.

“He’s improved throughout the season, shown good signs. He’s been more and more consistent and ultimately at this level consistency is the key word. We have more and more players who perform at a consistent level. In games like today, without someone having an outstanding performance, you never get results.”

At just 22, Trafford still has so many years left in him at the top level, so he is a fantastic option for Newcastle, and possibly even for England moving forward.

Fábio também analisou o ponto forte do Corinthians. Nesse sentido, ele apontou a qualidade do elenco comandando por Vítor Pereira como uma das virtudes do Timão. Ainda assim, o setorista fez uma ressalva e ressaltou que tais jogadores não deveriam atuar juntos na maioria das partidas.

– Tem como ponto forte jogadores bons que jogariam em qualquer time do futebol brasileiro. Estou falando de Roger Guedes, estou falando de Renato Augusto, estou falando de Paulinho, que é um jogador que não vem em boa fase, mas que se encaixaria em quase todos os clubes brasileiros. Mas o Vítor Pereira precisa entender como esses jogadores jogam juntos. E que, primeiro, na maioria das partidas, esses atletas não vão jogar juntos – afirmou.

O setorista também destrinchou os pontos fracos do Corinthians. Após elogiar o meio de campo do Alvinegro Paulista, Fábio Lázaro destacou que o Timão está com problema nas bolas áreas.

-É um time que tem um meio-campo qualificado, mas que tem ainda problemas defensivos, principalmente nas bolas áreas. Toma muito gol de bola aérea – explicou.

Por fim, outro ponto detalhado pelo setorista é em relação as peças de reposição. De acordo com ele, em algumas posições, o Corinthians não tem substitutos à altura, como é o caso da lateral-direita. Além disso, Fábio apontou que oscilações entre alguns dos jogadores mais jovens do elenco.

-Tem ali alguns pontos do time que não tem peça de reposição. A lateral-direita é uma delas. Você tem o Fagner, que é um baita lateral, números muito bons defensivamente, tem uma participação muito forte ofensiva. Contudo, quando ele não está, que é o caso do jogo contra o Botafogo, você tem o João Pedro, que compromete muito tecnicamente o time. Então, você tem que improvisar o Du Queiroz – contou Fábio Lázaro, antes de concluir:

-Você tem ali no time um Paulinho, um Maicon – agora chegando –, mas tem um Du Queiroz que está claro que não está pronto assim. É um jogador muito qualificado, muito promissor, mas que não está pronto ainda para assumir esse protagonismo no time, essa titularidade. Você tem um (Gustavo) Mosquito que oscila um pouco, Adson que oscila um pouco. Tem alguns pontos desse Corinthians que ainda precisam ser trabalhados. Tanto jogadores mais novos, que precisam maturar, quanto jogadores mais velhos, que são muito bons tecnicamente, mas que precisam ter um comprometimento físico maior – finalizou o setorista.
