Tottenham Hotspur are willing to sell both Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier as they look to raise funds for their summer of spending, per the Daily Mail.

Spurs confirmed two signings on Tuesday, the club-record purchase of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon and the reported £10m acquisition of Jack Clarke from Leeds United.

It does not appear that they are done, however, with the Daily Mail also claiming that Real Betis attacking midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is a target of Mauricio Pochettino, as well as Ryan Sessegnon at Fulham and, potentially, Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos.

Spurs, of course, reached the Champions League final in 2018/19 and are looking to strengthen their squad as they look to take the next step and improve on their fourth-placed finish in the Premier League.

As a result, both Wanyama and Dier are reportedly deemed expendable as Spurs aim to make even more signings this summer.

Dangerous

Spurs still need a squad.

One feels that Wanyama might well be done at the top level; he made a mere 13 Premier League appearances last season and completed the 90 minutes just twice.

He struggled with repeated knee injuries and cannot be trusted to play consecutively by his manager.

Cashing in on him makes sense but Dier is a full international and a versatile one to boot.

He can play in midfield and in central defence; Spurs can’t afford to bring in just one midfielder and then sell two. It doesn’t make sense.

Thus, ridding the squad of both Dier and Wanyama feels like a risk too far.

وأتم: “لا أعلم مدى قدرتي على المشاركة مع الزمالك في دوري أبطال إفريقيا، وإن شاء الله سيحدث ذلك”.

واختتم: “الزمالك من أكبر الفرق في إفريقيا ولديه جماهير بالملايين وإن شاء الله سنسعدهم بالألقاب والكؤوس”.

To say West Brom fans are disillusioned with the club’s academy at the moment would be a considerable understatement.

The Hawthorns faithful have been sent into disarray lately, letting their feelings be known on matters surrounding Louie Barry, Morgan Rogers and Mike Scott.

Barry’s time at the club came to an end after rejecting a new contract offer from the club, only to sign for Barcelona.

Rogers, on the other hand, has reportedly headed to Manchester City whilst former U18 coach Scott has also packed his bags.

It’s a bewildering time as far as their academy is concerned and after Rekeem Harper signed a new deal, things have only gone downhill again.

Harper had a contract offer on the table for a lengthy period of time and after July 1 passed by, it looked as though he would be another out the door.

This is a club who have become accustomed to seeing their best prodigies depart. In the past, Izzy Brown fled the scene as he moved to Chelsea, whilst Tyler Roberts and Kemar Roofe also left.

Yet, Harper, rather surprisingly decided to stay at Albion.

And what’s also surprising, is the example he’s now set.

When manager Slaven Bilic was questioned about the 19-year-old’s new terms, he told the club’s website: “It was a no-brainer for a player who is looking to have a good path, a good opportunity and platform long-term in his career.

“He knows the club, he knows the area. Last year he played a reasonable amount, a lot maybe for his first season. It was not hard for me to persuade him.”

However, with the younger players at Albion in the past, it appears as though it has been difficult to convince them.

Harper wasn’t short of attention, attracting the interest from the likes of Celtic and Liverpool. His decision to stay in the Midlands, therefore, was quite something.

And in doing so, he has set what is an unlikely example. For once, the Baggies have a young player thinking about the good of their career, rather than seeking a glamorous move.

He is one of the few players who has made good use of his breakthrough into the first team.

Of all academy graduates last season, he experienced the most minutes under Darren Moore. He played 1,131 minutes over 16 Championship outings, as well as playing six times in cup competitions.

His decision to sign a new deal at West Brom is a positive sign, but others must follow suit if the academy is to truly be considered a success in the future.

وكتب كالديرون عبر حسابه الرسمي على “تويتر” مرفقًا به غلاف صحيفة “ماركا” الذي تتصدره صورة رونالدو مع عدد الأهداف الخرافي الذي سجله، وكتب: “لقد نجح، من المؤسف أنه لم يعد يرتدي القميص الأبيض”.

وأتم: “وهذا بسبب مدير رياضي وإداريين هواة حاولوا منعه من الحصول على هذا الإنجاز الكبير في ريال مدريد، ولكن كل هذا لم يمنعه من الوصول إلى هدفه”.

Ryan Christie scored twice in Celtic’s comfortable win over Nomme Kalju and the fans are drooling over his performance.

Christie got the second and fourth in the Celts’ 5-0 demolition of the Estonian champions. The rout effectively means the Champions League tie is over with Neil Lennon’s men set to play in Estonia next Tuesday. One away goal would leave Nomme Kalju needing seven.

The midfielder was taken off before he had the chance to complete his hat-trick, substituted for want away midfielder Olivier Ntcham in the 71st minute.

But the 24-year-old has wasted little time this season asserting his authority on Lennon’s midfield. The former Inverness star has now bagged three goals and two assists in his three appearances for the Hoops so far this campaign.

It may be early and against average opposition but the creative midfielder could be on the cusp of a big season at Celtic Park after some encouraging displays, and is certainly looking like the man to take the crown from Tom Rogic as Lennon’s most advanced midfielder.

Yesterday’s Serie A transfer roundup discussed the confirmed departure of Patrick Cutrone from AC Milan as well as the latter’s talks for Angel Correa, and Napoli’s prepared bid for Wilfried Zaha. Today’s editions focuses on Inter’s interest in Duvan Zapata, the Rossoneri’s capture of Rafael Leao and Joao Cancelo’s potential switch to Manchester City.

Report: According to FCInterNews, Internazionale are turning their attention to Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata and away from Romelu Lukaku. La Dea reportedly value the striker at €60m (£54.9m) but may be willing to negotiate if an offer is made.

Verdict: Zapata has been a solid Serie A striker for several years, but was never able to score more than 11 goals in a league season during his time in Italy. All of that changed last term, however. The Colombia international ended the campaign on 23 strikes, which was only bettered by Fabio Quagliarella, as Atalanta qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history. No wonder, then, that a giant like Inter, who will also play in Europe’s premier club competition next season, are interested. Mauro Icardi has no future at the San Siro and, as such, Antonio Conte needs top quality to replace him. The 28-year-old former Sampdoria striker might just be that man.

Milan confirm Leao capture

Report: AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Rafael Leao from Lille. The 20-year-old will sign a five-year deal with the club, with Milan paying a reported fee of up to €30m (£27.5m) for his signature.

Verdict: Following the departure of Cutrone, another striker was needed at the San Siro, and Rafael Leao has been chosen as that man. The Brazilian did well in Ligue 1 last season, scoring eight goals in 16 starts as Lille qualified for the Champions League. For the French club, it is another blow following the exit of Nicolas Pepe, who has joined Arsenal. So far during this transfer window, they have made £135m. With about a month left before the transfer window closes in France, they have plenty of time to replace that loss of talent.

Cancelo close to City

Report: As per Italian outlet Tuttosport, Joao Cancelo is close to sealing a move to Manchester City this summer, and should even be confirmed as a Citizens player in the next few days. It is said that the Premier League club will pay between €30m (£27.5m) and €35m (£32.1m) for the Portugal international, with Danilo going in the opposite direction.

Verdict: There has been a lot of speculation in regards to this deal over the summer, but this indicates a breakthrough has been made. The 25-year-old only joined Juventus last year but didn’t look to have Massimiliano Allegri’s full confidence and only started 22 Serie A matches out of a possible 38. Pep Guardiola currently has Kyle Walker as his first-choice right-back with Danilo in reserve, so the former Barcelona boss will be hoping that the former Valencia man will be able to provide stronger competition for the England international. If the deal is completed, Cancelo will become City’s third major signing of the transfer window after Rodri and Angelino.

Despite the transfer window closing next Thursday, Manchester United still currently have just two completed signings to their name.

Both Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s early arrivals in the summer transfer window certainly felt like the Red Devils were getting their act together, after they ended the Premier League campaign in disappointing fashion with a sixth-placed finish.

The club have been after Leicester centre-back Harry Maguire for what feels like eternity, but with the transfer deadline edging ever closer, the stakes are certainly starting to get raised.

According to talkSPORT, United have made a “take it or leave it” offer for Maguire that is worth around £80m. The report adds that the offer will be removed from the table if the Foxes fail to accept it by Monday.

After hearing the update on their pursuit of the 26-year-old, United fans took to Twitter to share their opinions on the matter and many were seemingly divided about whether the ultimatum constituted the best approach.

Some supporters of the Manchester side suggested that this is the right way to go about things and simply stated that they love their “new business ways”.

Others however insisted that the club should have just accepted Leicester’s demands for the defender and seemingly didn’t approve of the “take it or leave it” offer.
