أكد ماوريسيو بوتشيتينو، مدرب باريس سان جيرمان، أن المباراة غدًا أمام نيس هي أولوية الفريق، وكشف عن حديثه مع نجمه البرازيلي نيمار دا سيلفا بشأن إصابته.

ويلاقي باريس سان جيرمان نظيره نيس غدًا في الدوري الفرنسي، ثم يواجه برشلونة في ذهاب دوري أبطال أوروبا يوم الثلاثاء القادم.

وتحدث بوتشيتينو في مؤتمر صحفي ونشره موقع “باريس سان جيرمان” الرسمي تصريحاته وقال: “المباراة ضد نيس هي أولويتنا، إنها مباراة مهمة للغاية بالنسبة لنا، علينا أن نضع أقوى وأفضل تشكيل للفوز بها”.

وأضاف: “منذ وصولي، علمت أنا وفريق العمل أن كل مباراة مهمة، الفوز يمنحنا الثقة في المباراة القادمة”.

وأكد: “ماركو فيراتي غير متاح لمباراة الغد، لا يزال يعاني من مشاكل بسبب إصابته في المباراة ضد مارسيليا، سنرى في الأيام القليلة المقبلة”.

وأردف: “لدينا نجوم مبدعين غير متاحين ولكن لدينا فريق عالي الجودة ولدينا ثقة كاملة في هذا الفريق لإيجاد الحلول اللازمة، سواء في الدوري أو الكأس أو في دوري أبطال أوروبا”.

وعن نيمار، أوضح بوتشيتينو: “تحدثت معه عن إصابته بعد الاختبارات الطبية، وقد أعرب بالفعل عن حزنه لعدم تمكنه من مساعدة الفريق في المباريات المقبلة”.

وأكمل: “سنبذل قصارى جهدنا لمساعدته على العودة في أسرع وقت ممكن والتأكد من صحته العقلية، إنه فتى قوي ومحبوب للغاية ويقدم كل شيء للفريق”.

واستطرد: “نيمار يظهر التزامه تجاه النادي كل يوم، إنه لمن دواعي سروري العمل معه ونتمنى له الشفاء العاجل لمساعدة الفريق والقيام بما هو أفضل، ولعب كرة القدم”.

وأتم: “ماركو فيراتي لديه القدرة على قراءة اللعبة والتكيف وهو أمر مهم بالنسبة لنا، إنه متعدد الاستخدامات وبالتالي يمكن استخدامه بطرق مختلفة، هو يجلب التنوع في أداء الفريق”.

أعلن أحمد أبوعبلة، طبيب الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بالنادي الأهلي، سلبية المسحة الطبية التي أجراها الفريق أمس؛ استعدادًا لمواجهة المريخ السوداني في دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

According to Sky Sports, Everton are in talks with Manchester United over a move for centre-back Marcos Rojo.

What’s the word?

Reports in recent weeks had suggested Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was keen on shipping some of his defenders out before the end of the transfer window were a move for Harry Maguire to be completed.

Following the world-record move for the 26-year-old, Rojo’s future is up in the air, and Sky Sports now claim fellow Premier League side Everton are keen on tying up a permanent deal for the Argentina international.

The report adds Rojo was at United’s training ground on Thursday morning along with a member of his representatives, and held talks over his long-term future at the club.

Fresh hope for Tuanzebe

One man who will certainly benefit from the departure of Rojo is Axel Tuanzebe. The United academy prospect spent the entirety of last season on loan at Aston Villa, and helped the side clinch promotion to the Premier League.

However, the Red Devils’ abundance of options in central defence meant there were concerns over whether he would be set for another loan spell away, but Rojo’s possible exit could see Tuanzebe come back into the reckoning. The 21-year-old impressed at the heart of defence for Villa, and his blend of pace and power could see him become an intriguing centre-back partner for Maguire.

The one thing youngsters need – particularly at big clubs – is an opportunity. For Tuanzebe, the door potentially closing on Rojo’s injury-ravaged career at Old Trafford, could well be the opening of his.

Steven Gerrard has been praising Joe Aribo again, after the former Charlton man impressed his manager and fans in the 3-0 League Cup win over East Fife.

Gerrard has sung the praises of one of his most interesting summer signings, with Aribo already catching the imagination of the supporters. The Nigerian midfielder has settled into life at Ibrox quickly, scoring four times in his eight appearances for the Light Blues.

Brought in from promoted Championship new boys Charlton Athletic, Aribo has put disconcerting voices behind him to make a flying start to his Gers career.

As reported by BBC Sport, the Gers manager was full of praise for the 23-year-old after Sunday’s win: “I am not sure how many good players have been at this stadium, but I don’t think you will see many better than Joe.

“He can go as far as he wants. I hope he stays alongside me for many years, but he’s got the world at his feet.”

Gerrard is spot on

Aribo came to Ibrox this summer off the back of helping Charlton get promoted to the second-tier of English football, and attracted some interest from big clubs in the past campaign. A transfer to Arsenal seemed an unlikely deal, but given his start to life at Rangers, you can understand why Unai Emery might’ve had a look at the midfielder before his move to Glasgow.

The fact that he’s settled into life at a club as demanding as the Gers so quickly shows he can cope with the pressure of the biggest stages. This bodes well for Gerrard’s comment that he feels Aribo can go as far in the game he wishes. Potential suitors can look to his blistering start at an important juncture in the season as a reason to pursue the midfield star in the future.

While it’s a bit early for him to be looking for a move away, continuing in this fashion will almost certainly prove his manager’s praise to be right. If Aribo can keep up this incredible form and make it last across the season he could very well have the world at his feet and the biggest clubs in Europe at his door.

كشفت تقارير صحفية إنجليزية أن والد حارس مرمى ليفربول أليسون، خوسيه بيكر، قد دُفن أمس الجمعة في مسقط رأسه في البرازيل دون حضور لاعب الريدز.

وعُثر على جثة خوسيه بيكر، في الساعات الأولى من صباح الخميس الماضي بعدما غرق في بحيرة في مزرعة العائلة بالقرب من بلدة لافراس دو سول في جنوب البرازيل.

وحسب صحيفة “ذا صن” الإنجليزية، فإن خوسيه بيكر دُفن بعد ظهر أمس الجمعة في مقبرة كاثوليكية بأحد أحياء هامبورجو، مسقط رأسه، بحضور أفراد العائلة ونجله مورييل حارس مرمى فريق ريو دي جانيرو.

وأشارت إلى أن أليسون بيكر لم يتمكن من حضور جنازة والده بسبب القيود المتعلقة بفيروس كورونا.

وأفادت أن تشريح جثة خوسيه بيكر أكد أن الغرق هو سبب الوفاة ولا يوجد أي شبهات، رغم استمرار تحقيقات الشرطة في ملابسات تلك المأساة.

وأوضحت إنه يُعتقد أن خوسيه بيكر واجه صعوبات بعد الذهاب للسباحة في البحيرة على الرغم من أنه كان غالبًا يمارس الصيد تحت الماء والغوص في مكان الإقامة الريفي الخاص بالعائلة، على بعد ما يزيد قليلًا عن 200 ميل من منزلهم الرئيسي في نوفو هامبورجو.

ويواجه ليفربول نظيره شيفيلد يونايتد غدًا في الجولة السادسة والعشرين من الدوري الإنجليزي.

It would be easy to praise Mohamed Salah after Liverpool’s comfortable win over Arsenal, but Reds fans are running out of superlatives for another member of their electric front three.

If it’s not Salah hurting you it’s Sadio Mane, and if it’s not the Senegal international then it’s Roberto Firmino. That’s the beauty of Jurgen Klopp’s front three.

And while it was the Egyptian who bagged two goals in Saturday’s 3-1 win over the Gunners, it was Firmino’s industry, improvisation and just sheer quality that shone through perhaps brightest of all.

The former Hoffenheim man was up to all his usual tricks, pulling the visitors’ defence absolutely everywhere to create space for his fellow forwards.

The 27 year-old registered six shots in the match, but one just before half-time really caught the eye, as he flicked the ball over Dani Ceballos’ head and volleyed at goal.

The shot was blocked, but it hasn’t stopped fans from heaping praise on their mercurial number nine.

The sale of Ryan Kent has taken Liverpool’s transfer income to more than £50m this summer, prompting fans to target players they would love to see join the club.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho is a name of many fans’ lips, although they acknowledge that he won’t come cheap either in January or next summer, particularly as he still has three years remaining on his contract and in 34 league games last season scored 12 goals and made 14 assists, with a further three of the latter already this term.

The Reds signed only one senior player this, Adrian, who arrived on a free transfer, whilst 11 players departed either on loan or permanently for a total of £53.2m, which could mean Liverpool are planning for a major signing at some point in the future.
