فاز فريق إيفرتون مساء الإثنين على خصمه ساوثهامبتون في بطولة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

واستضاف ملعب جوديسون بارك مباراة الفريقين في ختام منافسات الجولة السادسة والعشرين، حيث فاز إيفرتون بهدف دون رد. هدف فوز إيفرتون أمام ساوثهامبتون

وسجل هدف فوز أصحاب الأرض اللاعب ريتشارليسون، وذلك في الدقيقة التاسعة من عمر الشوط الأول.

وكان مايكل كين سجل الهدف الثاني لـ إيفرتون في الشوط ذاته، ولكن اُلغي بداعِ وجود تسلل.

بتلك النتيجة، ارتفع رصيد إيفرتون إلى 43 نقطة في المركز السابع بالتساوي مع ليفربول، ولكن الأخير تفوق بفارق الأهداف.

أما ساوثهامبتون فقد تجمد رصيده عند 30 نقطة في المركز الرابع عشر.

لم يرغب لاعب فريق ليفربول جورجينيو فينالدوم في الإدلاء بتصريحات قاطعة حول مستقبله مع النادي الإنجليزي.

وسينتهي العقد الحالي للاعب الهولندي مع حامل لقب الدوري الإنجليزي في الصيف المقبل.

ولم يتوصل فينالدوم إلى أي اتفاق مع ليفربول حتى الآن بشأن تجديد عقده، مما أدى إلى ارتباطه بخطوة الرحيل.

وسبق أن ارتبط فينالدوم بخطوة الانتقال إلى صفوف برشلونة.

وقال فينالدوم في تصريحات نشرتها شبكة “جول” العالمية: “إذا كنت من الجماهير وتدعم الفريق، فأنت تدعم اللاعب وما يحدث معه”.

وأضاف: “تريد أن تسمع ما سيحدث، ولكن على الجانب الآخر بالنسبة لي إذا لم يكن هناك ما أقوله ولا توجد أخبار، فلا أستطيع قول أي شيء”.

واستكمل: “أعتقد أنه يمكننا التركيز على أشياء أخرى أفضل من وضعي الشخصي ومسألة العقد، لأنني كما قلت للتو لا توجد أخبار”.

وأردف: “عندما تكون هناك أخبار، سنكشفها”.

ويعاني ليفربول من سوء النتائج في الوقت الحالي في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، حيث يحتل المركز الثامن برصيد 43 نقطة فقط، بعد خوض 28 مباراة.

AS Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has said during Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s first press conference (via Calcio Mercato) that the Armenia international has “given up on lots of money” to join the Serie A outfit.

What did he say?

Mkhitaryan joined the Giallorossi on loan on the final day of the European transfer window from Arsenal with an option to buy at the end of the current campaign.

The player was presented to the press in his first press conference as a Roma player on Tuesday, with sporting director Petrachi also present.

Talking about the switch, the latter said: “The idea was to invest in important young people. In situations where we found ourselves at the end of the market, or we made investments in young people or operations like those for Micky.

“He is a top player with very high costs, the boy has given up on lots of money to come to Rome. Time will tell if we have the chance to keep players like that.”

Refreshing in today’s footballing environment

The money involved in football at times is often obscene, particularly in the Premier League. Last year, the average player in England’s top tier earned £3.2m. Even in the Championship, players brought in an average of £25,000 a week, which is more than 46 times the salary of a worker in the United Kingdom over the same time period.

Players are often criticised for the money they chase. Former Chelsea midfielder Oscar, for example, was slammed for his move to the Chinese Super League, where he is said to be earning wages in the region of £400,000 every seven days.

Mkhitaryan does not earn that kind of money, but he is unlikely to have felt too hard done by as he picked up his £180,000 weekly salary with the Gunners. While it is not understood what kind of sums are involved at Roma, it is refreshing to hear that he has been willing to take a pay cut of some sort in his quest to find first-team football.

Contrary to popular opinion, perhaps not all footballers are just driven by the amount of cash in their bank accounts.

One can only hope that more players follow the 30-year-old’s lead by putting their careers first.

وأضاف: “ولكننا تعرضنا للظلم كثيرًا في المباراة، لعبة حسين السيد ركلة جزاء واضحة بدليل أنها احتسبت من قبل، جمهور الإسماعيلي يشعر بالظلم ويطالب الإدارة بالإنسحاب من الدوري”.

واستطرد: “الحكم الدولي السابق سيد بشير أكد صحة ركلة جزاء الإسماعيلي ونفى صحة ركلة جزاء الأهلي، إذًا طالما هناك اختلاف بين الحكام فما بالك بالجماهير”.

وتابع: “بالتأكيد فريق الإسماعيلي لديه أخطاء وسنتداركها وسنجتهد لاصلاحها خلال الفترات المقبلة، والنتائج الجيدة قادمة باذن الله”.

واستكمل: “أتمنى اعتذار بيتسو موسيماني مدرب الأهلي لحارس مرمانا محمد مجدي”.

وأتم: “تغيير الجهاز الفني أمر غير وارد، واللجنة الفنية مستقرة على استمرار دراجان يوفيتش ويقتنعون أنه جاء في ظروف صعبة، وتواجهه بعض العكوسات ولكن لدينا اقتناع بأدائه”.

Wolves haven’t won a single game in the league so far this campaign, and after their recent 5-2 defeat against Chelsea at Molineux, they find themselves 19th in the table.

Everton lost their second successive Premier League game on Saturday afternoon as Sheffield United recorded a shock 2-0 victory at Goodison Park.

The Toffees entered the match with Sheffield United off the back of a 3-1 defeat at Bournemouth in the league on September 15.

The fans would have been looking for a response from their side, but an own goal from Yerry Mina and late Lys Mousset goal secured all three points for the Blades.

Next up for the Merseyside giants is an EFL Cup clash against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night, before the small matter of a home Premier League fixture against the champions Manchester City, who put eight past Watford on Saturday.

And a number of the club’s supporters have taken to social media to call for their club to sack head coach Marco Silva before more damage is done.

The long-serving striker netted an injury-time equaliser in his 241st appearance for the club at Hillsborough last Saturday to salvage a point against Fulham.

Wednesday versus Boro is typically not a rivalry, but there will be added weight behind the fixture with Monk an ex-manager there – he was actually sacked following a win against the Owls after just six months in charge.

Both teams are vastly different now, so where could the game be decided?

Middlesbrough are struggling this season under the stewardship of former player Jonathan Woodgate as they sit 15th having won just two of their eight matches.

Their squad is quite talented on paper. For instance, Dael Fry has been linked to several Premier League clubs this week while Britt Assombalonga still remains at the club – he’s always a threat in this division having bagged 62 goals in 163 appearances.

But Marvin Johnson could prove to be the main threat to Wednesday’s backline having picked up both a goal and an assist this season in six starts.

The winger has shown he’s both a goal threat as well as a creative outlet under the former Real Madrid centre-back by averaging 1.4 key passes, shots and dribbles per game, via WhoScored.

If he does indeed lineup at right-wing, then Owls left-back Liam Palmer will be the man to stop him and he has every chance of doing so based on his performances so far this campaign.

The 28-year-old is averaging 1.8 clearances, 1.5 tackles and 1.5 interceptions per game, having also started six league matches.

He will have the edge over the 5 foot 10 man considering he is dispossessed 1.8 times per game and records an average of 1.4 unsuccessful touches too – Palmer rarely concedes any fouls (0.5 per game), so that’s even more in his favour.

If you bear those crucial statistics in mind, there is a reason to believe that the Wednesday man could have a key say in stopping Johnson.

وتابع: “باتشيكو كان له مستحقات ثلاث أشهر متاخرة، وكان من حقه أن يفسخ التعاقد، ورفض أن يفعل ذلك حبًا في جمهور الزمالك، ورأى أن الظروف غير مناسب للجميع”.

وأكمل: “في الموسم الماضي باتشيكو كان يرى أن الزمالك أقوى فريق ويحتاج فقط إلى تدعيم بسيط، وطلب مدافع رابع ومهاجم، ولم يطلب أسماء معينة”.

وعن موقف باتشيكو عند رحيل مصطفى محمد إلى نادي جالطة سراي، قال: “أراد تواجد أفضل المهاجمين في الفريق، وكان يرى أنه لا يمكن الاستغناء عنه من الناحية الفنية”.

وأردف: “باتشيكو طلب التعاقد مع مهاجم بصفة سريعة، آخر يوم في القيد طلب في اجتماع المهاجمين الذين يريد التعاقد معهم، وضع 4 أسماء ولم يكن من ضمنهم سيف الجزيري أو مروان حمدي، وكان من ضمن الأسماء محمود وادي وباسم مرسي ومهاجم إنبي جون إيبوكا وحسام حسن مهاجم سموحة”.

وأوضح: “الاستغناء عن باتشيكو في النادي غير متوقع، وأتوقع لو عرض العودة في المستقبل سيوافق، لأنه مرتبط بالبلد والقلعة البيضاء”.

واختتم: “الأهلي لم يدخل في مفاوضات مع باتشيكو أثناء تواجده في مصر، ولم يتلق اتصالات من أي مسئول في القلعة الحمراء”.

Jamie Carragher appeared on Sky Sports’ YouTube channel after Liverpool’s 2-1 win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

He was asked to talk about some of his best away day stories and seeing as the interview was taking place at Stamford Bridge, some tales of Liverpool’s famous clashes against Chelsea came up, specifically the subject of striker Didier Drogba.

Carragher, subsequently, was asked who his toughest ever opponent was.

The former England international was quick to confirm that Thierry Henry was, in fact, the toughest opponent he had ever faced.

The Arsenal legend scored 176 goals in 258 appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal and netted nine times in 18 games against the Reds.

He was quick to remind viewers that Drogba didn’t actually score that often against Liverpool – he scored 11 goals in a total of 30 games – but he claimed that he had to be on top of his game to keep the Ivorian out whenever their paths crossed.
