New Coventrty City signing Leo Ostigard has spoken for the first time since he completed what he calls a ‘dream’ move to the Championship club.

Sky Blues boss Mark Robins has had a busy summer after sealing promotion to the Championship, bringing in the likes of Gustavo Hamer, Julien Dacosta, Marcel Hilssner, Callum O’Hare and Ryan Giles.

Adding to that list, Ostigard has now arrived on loan from Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion to add depth to Coventry’s defensive line up.

Valued at £2.25m by Transfermarkt, the defender has now penned a one-year loan deal with the Sky Blues.

Speaking about his move to Coventry, the defender told the club’s official website that it was a ‘dream’ to make a move to the Championship.

“It’s always been a dream to play in the Championship and to come here and play for a team who went up last season is good for me and you never know what will happen.

“I think we will see some great things from this team and we will run and fight to be in this league so I think it will be a good move for me and I hope it will go well.

“I hope I will have a great time and I’m really happy to be here, I’m just going to take it step by step and we will see what happens.”

Norwegian defender Ostigard signed for Brighton after coming through Molde’s academy and he spent time on loan with German second division side St Pauli last term in order to gain first team experience.

Another superb addition from Robins to bring in Ostigard and one that will further enhance Coventry’s squad for the better.

Whilst the Sky Blues may not have the pulling power, financially, to bring in experienced and more well known players, Robins is certainly impressing with his scouting and moves so far this summer.

Seu auge foi no Chelsea, onde atuou entre 2007 e 2013 e conquistou a Liga dos Campeões em 2012 e o tricampeonato da Liga Inglesa – 2008, 2009 e 2010.

Kaká.O meia foi o grande convidado das partidas corporativas no Allianz Parque. Tais jogos fazem parte da longa briga entre o clube e a WTorre.

Leandro Pereira.É, até agora, o autor do único gol em finais no estádio. Ele fez contra o Santos, na primeira decisão do Campeonato Paulista.

México.A única partida do Allianz Parque que não teve o Verdão em campo foi o amistoso entre Brasil e México, em junho. A Seleção venceu por 2 a 0.

Números de gols.O Palmeiras marcou 64 vezes no novo Palestra, com 22 jogadores diferentes – Samir, do Flamengo, fez o único contra. 31 gols sofridos.

Outro estádio.O Pacaembu foi a casa do Palmeiras quando o Allianz Parque estava ocupado com shows. O time jogou lá contra o Grêmio e contra o Sport.

Pênaltis.O Parque já teve uma classificação decidida nos pênaltis: na semifinal da Copa do Brasil, contra o Fluminense. Fernando Prass foi o destaque.

Torcida.A torcida do Palmeiras se acostumou a lotar a nova casa. Em média, são 30.208 pessoas por jogo. O recorde de público da arena é 39.479 pagantes.

Um milhão.Levando em conta todos os eventos do Allianz Parque, a arena do Verdão já recebeu mais de 1,4 milhão de pessoas desde sua abertura.

Vitórias.O Palmeiras conseguiu 23 vitórias nos 35 jogos na arena. Todas foram nesta temporada. O placar que mais se repetiu foi o 1 a 0, em quatro vezes.

Xingado.Wesley ouviu a maior vaia da arena e foi muito xingado no empate com o Atlético-PR, ano passado. Foi o último jogo do volante pelo Palmeiras.

WTorre.A WTorre tem contrato para cuidar do estádio por 30 anos. Sua maior briga com o clube é pelo número de cadeiras que poderá vender no Allianz.

Yesterday.Foi um dos sucessos cantados por Paul McCartney no primeiro show da arena, em 2014. Roberto Carlos, Muse e Katy Perry também tocaram lá.

What’s the word?

According to Le10 Sport, the Irons are one of the teams interested in making a move for Paris Saint-Germain powerhouse Idrissa Gueye as the Ligue 1 outfit looks to offload some of their players to raise funds.

It appears as if the 30-year-old’s chances of remaining in the French capital past next month’s deadline are slim with Crystal Palace and Wolves also keen on landing him.

Though no fee is mentioned. Gueye is valued at £21.6m by Transfermarkt and is reportedly on €75k-per-week (£68k-per-week) at Parc des Princes.

Rice replacement?

So much has been made of Rice’s future in east London with his former youth side and local rivals Chelsea thought to be hot on his tail. It’s been claimed by The Athletic that the Blues see the 21-year-old as a long-term solution at centre-back.

Although it appears they are currently unwilling to meet the Hammers’ whopping £70m valuation but that doesn’t mean this saga won’t go down the final day next month.

Despite Gueye’s advancing years, he’d be a pretty nailed on successor to Rice going on just how good he was for Everton.

During his final season at Goodison Park (2018/19), the Senegalese international averaged 4.3 tackles, 2.2 interceptions and 0.7 dribbles per game, via WhoScored.

He had a field day against Manuel Pellegrini’s XI in March that year, recording nine tackles, four interceptions and one dribble. He even won 11 of 14 ground duels against the likes of Manuel Lanzini, Marko Aranutovic and Pedro Obiang, per SofaScore.

The Toffees had been missing him up until their Allan capture and this is seen most in comments from his former teammates. Morgan Schneiderlin claims Gueye is “amazing” in what he does defensively whilst Theo Walcott believes he has “real top quality”.

PSG are unlikely to recoup the £30m they paid for him last summer, but that’s something firmly in David Moyes’ favour.

وكان هاري كين مادة دسمة للتقارير الصحفية طوال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الماضية، هذا العام، بعدما ارتبط بخطوة الرحيل عن صفوف توتنهام.

وكان مانشستر سيتي هو أقرب المتنافسين للظفر بخدمات هاري كين، حيث سعى بطل الدوري الإنجليزي إلى التعاقد معه لتعزيز خط الهجوم بعد رحيل سيرجيو أجويرو.

وقدم مانشستر سيتي عرضًا إلى توتنهام من أجل حسم صفقة هاري كين، إلا أن النادي اللندني تمسك بالنجم الإنجليزي، ليقرر في النهاية البقاء.

وقال فابيو باراتيتشي في تصريحات نشرها الصحفي الإيطالي الشهير “فابريزيو رومانو” منذ قليل: “هاري كين يحب توتنهام، لقد قررنا إبقاء هاري الصيف الماضي لبدء إعادة البناء، ونحن سعداء باختياره لنا”.

وواصل: “ليس هذا فقط، فهو يفعل كل هذا في أصعب دوري في العالم، والذي يجب أن يؤخذ في الاعتبار عند تحديد من هو الأفضل في العالم، سجل كيليان مبابي على سبيل المثال هدف فوز باريس سان جيرمان هذا الأسبوع، ولكن الدوري الفرنسي لا يُقارن من حيث الصعوبة، بينما سجل محمد صلاح في سبع من مبارياته الثمانية في الدوري الإنجليزي هذا الموسم”.

It’s safe to say it’s been a very enjoyable few weeks if you’re an Aston Villa fan.

Now, French publication Foot Mercato claim that their work in trying to strengthen their first-team squad is not over yet, with a €17.5m (£16m) offer being made for Nice midfielder Wylan Cyprien.

And then, honestly, a 6 who can attack as well as he can defend, I have rarely seen that.

“I saw from the get go what he brings, but the moment at which I said to myself that he is a top player was at the Parc (des Princes – PSG’s stadium). In Paris, he showed that he is a phenomenon. Very few midfielders, at his age, take their responsibilities. He did and had a huge game. He is a great player, he can play anywhere.”

£16m seems like an absolute bargain for a player who can do all that.

O presidente do Flamengo, Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, aproveitou a reunião da comissão de clubes para encaminhar uma sugestão à CBF que pode mudar o critério de escalas dos árbitros nas competições brasileiras. A ideia de Bandeira é criar um ranking de árbitros, cuja pontuação seja dada por uma comissão independente, formada por especialistas no ramo.

– O Flamengo criticou a arbitragem e não faz sentido sem que haja uma proposta completa. A ideia é que a arbitragem seja avaliada por uma comissão independente e competente com pessoas ligadas ao assunto, com critérios previamente definidos, levando em conta toda a partida e não só os lances capitais. Isso geraria uma nota para cada árbitro e auxiliar. Essa avaliação seria a base para a escalação dos árbitros. O fato de o árbitro saber que tem isso, vai se interessar em ter boa atuação e, caso haja má intenção, ele vai pensar duas vezes – explicou o presidente rubro-negro, ao deixar a sede da CBF.

Bandeira ainda acrescentou que o trabalho da comissão, caso a ideia seja aprovada pela CBF, será supervisionado por uma empresa de auditoria.

– Hoje, qualquer programa de auditório tem e a ideia é ter uma entidade para atestar o critério – completou, revelando ainda que, antes de formalizar a sugestão, chegou a discutir o assunto com membros da entidade:

– A CBF vê com simpatia. Já tinha discutido com o Walter Feldman (secretário-geral). Mas vão avaliar os detalhes envolvidos e vão dar uma resposta para os clubes poderem seguir em frente, como quem vai compor a comissão.

O custo do projeto ficaria com a CBF.

– Não é uma solução barata. Mas é do interesse da CBF, porque o que está em jogo é a credibilidade dela. O Flamengo acha que não poderia ficar só na reclamação – emendou Bandeira.

Além de Bandeira, presidentes de outros clubes da Série A estiveram na CBF, como Corinthians, Fluminense, Atlético-MG, Grêmio e Sport.

“There is pressure on Adrian,” Pearce said (via This Is Futbol). “But I know for a fact he was back at Melwood the day after what happened at Villa Park working with John Achterberg knuckling down desperate to learn from what he’d done wrong and knowing that he’ll have the opportunity to put things right at Goodison [Park].”

Adrian deserves some respect

The 33-year-old’s performance against Aston Villa wasn’t the first time he has been disappointing in the nets. Last season, Adrian essentially single-handedly knocked Liverpool out of both the FA Cup and Champions League. Costly blunders against Chelsea and Atletico Madrid cost the Reds their place in the competitions and fans have been ripping the Sevilla-born ‘keeper to shreds ever since.

Even the club staff are questioning his abilities and are currently looking to outsource a replacement until Alisson returns from injury. However, despite the fans on his back and Jurgen Klopp losing faith, Adrian is still trying to make the best of his time at Anfield.

His tweet following the Villa defeat may not have been very telling, but he is doing his talking on the training pitch. If Adrian has acknowledged his errors and shows improvement against Everton on Saturday, he deserves a lot of respect for silently addressing the situation and working to rectify it.

وأكمل: “أتذكر مباراتي الأولى في العام الذي وصلت فيه، لم يلعب وخسرنا 5-1 بالطبع لا أريد أن أتذكر ذلك، لكن هذا هو الحال، برشلونة لديهم نجوم شباب جدد مثل بيدري وأنس وفاتي، وستكون مباراة رائعة لأنهم يتمتعون بجودة عالية”.

وردًا على “هل درست أنسو فاتي وهل ستعرف أين سيحاول التسديد؟”، قال: “نحن نفعل ذلك دائمًا مع مدرب حراس المرمى، ونُشاهد مقاطع الفيديو، وبعض الأعمال الهجومية، ولكن كرة القدم لا تقوم دائمًا على التوقعات، هناك دائمًا شيء لا يمكن التنبؤ به عندما يتعلق الأمر بالتسديد على المرمى”.

واسترسل: “فاتي لاعب لديه الكثير من الجودة، يُمكنك أن ترى جودته في الهدف الذي سجله أمام فالنسيا، لديهم جوردي ألبا أيضًا الذي يقدم أشياء يصعب على حارس المرمى أحيانًا التعامل معها، ونحن سنحاول إيقافهم”.

وعن اعتماد ريال مدريد مع أنشيلوتي على خطة 4-3-3 عكس بداية الموسم، حيث كان يلعب بـ4-4-2: “في بعض الأحيان يقوم المدرب بسؤالنا ما الذي نحبه أكثر، وما يعتقد أنه أفضل أو أسوأ، في بعض المباريات لعبنا 4-4-2 لم نفعل ما كان يدور في ذهنه، من الجيد أن تكون لدينا هذه المرونة، نحن نحاول التدرب وأن نكون مُستعدين دائمًا”.

وأنهى تصريحاته بالحديث عن توقعه لنتيجة المباراة: “أود أن أقول أننا سنحقق فوزنا الثاني خارج الأرض، لكن ما تقوله ربما يعود عليك بشكل عكسي، لذا أفضل ألا أقول ذلك، ولكن إذا لعبنا بعقلية إيجابية أعتقد أننا سيكون لدينا فرصة لتحقيق الفوز”.
