Após comandar um trabalho dando prioridade à parte física dos jogadores no período da manhã, Ricardo Gomes deixou a bola rolar no treino da tarde desta sexta-feira. A outra novidade foi a presença mais significativa do público. O meia Octávio anotou três gols no final da atividade.

Com o sol menos escaldante, pouco mais de 20 torcedores estiveram acompanhando o último treinamento do dia, em General Severiano, e puderam assistir, por exemplo, aos trabalhos de troca de passes e chutes a gol. Neste segundo quesito, o recém-chegado Lizio se deu relativamente bem. Ele deixou sua marca, balançando a rede. Entretanto, na sequência, acabou isolando uma outra finalização.

Assim como na atividade matinal, Ricardo Gomes não contou com Gervasio Nuñez e Bruno Silva, que, pelo segundo dia consecutivo, ficaram liberados para resolverem problemas de documentação.

Outros reforços para 2016 puderam ser vistos em campo. Caso dos zagueiros Emerson Silva e Joel Carli. O argentino também se aventurou e mandou bola para a meta de Jefferson.

Por fim, o treinador usou metade do campo e dividiu o grupo em quatro times de seis jogadores cada, que se revezavam de dois em dois. Os goleiros Jefferson. Helton Leite, Saulo e Matheus Cabral também participaram do mini-coletivo. Entre uma “partida” e outra, o meia Octávio fez bonito, marcando três vezes na disputa derradeira.

Celtic’s chances of keeping hold of star striker Odsonne Edouard are looking more and more bleak. With just two years left on his current contract, the Hoops must start considering their options or risk losing him for a reduced fee or even on a free transfer.

Time is not on Neil Lennon’s side. Whilst the club will want to tie the Frenchman down on a new long-term contract, it doesn’t seem like this is what the player wants. Hearts defender Andy Halliday recently commented on Edouard’s status at the club and believes he looks “unhappy” at Celtic. If this is the case, it won’t be long before his head starts to be turned by interested clubs.

If and when it does, the Hoops must take to the transfer market and bring in a replacement, which will be much easier said than done. They were linked with a move for Sheffield Wednesday’s Steven Fletcher over the summer, but talks dismantled and the striker eventually moved to Stoke City.

Celtic’s mistake not to scoop up Fletcher

If Edouard is to leave Scotland, Lennon and co need to bring in a forward of similar calibre. The France youth international was on fire for the Bhoys last season, notching an astonishing 21 goals and 12 assists in 27 Premiership appearances (via Transfermarkt).

He has been quieter this season following his spell on the sidelines through self-isolation, but is still making an impact in front of goal. The only player to match his quality this campaign is Mohamed Elyounoussi, who is only with the Scottish outfit on loan. Should the Hoops lose both the Norwegian and Edouard, they will wish they’d made a move for Fletcher when they had the chance.

The 33-year-old veteran signed for the Potters on a free transfer this summer after enjoying four years in Sheffield. His final season for Wednesday saw him net 13 Championship goals and he has already gotten off the mark with four for Stoke so far this term (via Transfermarkt).

Fletcher also represented Sunderland for a large chunk of his career and attracted a lot of praise from his teammates. Eight years ago, Adam Johnson lauded the striker as an “unbelievable” signing for the Black Cats, who kept him for four years before his move to Sheffield Wednesday.

Both he and Edouard are natural goalscoring talents and it should have been a no-brainer to snap up the 33-year-old. Now it’s back to the drawing board for Lennon and Nick Hammond, who will be biting their nails over Edouard’s potentially looming departure.

شكك التركي محسن أرطغرل، مدرب الإسماعيلي السابق، في بقاء مُهاجم منتخب مصر، مصطفى محمد مع فريقه جالطة سراي، وذلك في ظل تذبذب مستواه مع الفاتح الأوروبي مُنذ بداية موسم 2021/2022 الجاري.

ويلعب مصطفى محمد مع جالطة سراي مُنذ فبراير الماضي على سبيل الإعارة من الزمالك حتى 30 يونيو 2022، والفاتح الأوروبي يملك حق شراء 31 ديسمبر 2021.

ولم يظهر مصطفى بالشكل المُنتظر كما توهج مع جالطة سراي في النصف الثاني من الموسم الماضي.

وقال أرطغرل في مداخلة عبر برنامج “البريمو” المُذاع عبر قناة “TEN”: “مصطفى محمد مهاجم جالطة سراي مستواه متذبذب بعض الشيء وهو ما يؤثر على فرص بقائه مع الفريق”.

وأضاف المستشار الفني داخل الاتحاد التركي لكرة القدم: “مصطفى لاعب يمتلك قدرات مميزة, ما ينقصه فقط التركيز وثبات المستوى لإقناع مدربه فاتح تريم”.

وتابع: “الدوري التركي يعتمد على القوة البدنية بصورة كبيرة، ومصطفى محمد يحتاج إلى المزيد من التركيز”.

وأنهى تصريحاته قائلًا: “عليه أن يكون لديه تركيز شديد من أجل مواصلة عمله في الدوري التركي وهو ما يحتاجه أيضا احمد حسن كوكا وكريم حافظ وأحمد ريان”.

يُذكر أن مصطفى محمد شارك في 20 مباراة بمُختلف المسابقات مع جالطة سراي هذا الموسم، ولم يتمكن ن إحراز ألا أربعة أهداف وصنع هدفًا واحدًا.

A situação mudou na última sexta-feira. O Goiás contratou o zagueiro Wesley Matos e acabou facilitando a liberação de Fred. Com isso, ele ficou com o caminho aberto para acertar com o Grêmio.

Southampton centre-back Jan Bednarek committed to a new contract with the Saints earlier this week, which could spell bad news for Jack Stephens, with regards to his chances of breaking back into the first-team.

The English centre-back has struggled for game time this season, with Bednarek and Jannik Vestergaard often preferred by Ralph Hasenhuttl, as he has made just four appearances in the Premier League, averaging a disappointing 6.40 rating (per WhoScored).

Following the announcement that the Polish international had committed to a new deal until the summer of 2025, it seems unlikely that he is going to be displaced from this Southampton side any time soon.

Meanwhile, Vestergaard has started the season in superb form for the South Coast club, averaging a 7.08 rating across his nine top-flight appearances.

Considering the Saints also have young Mohammed Salisu available to them now, with Hasenhuttl confirming that the summer signing was in contention to play against Brighton on Monday night, you worry that Stephens could soon be surplus to requirements at the South Coast club.

The academy graduate has gone on to make 116 appearances for the Saints, in which he has contributed six goals and five assists (per Transfermarkt).

Hasenhuttl was full of praise for the centre-back earlier this year, but also pointed out areas in which he could improve, saying:

“With the ball, definitely he’s one of our best defensive players we have.

“Against the ball, not always so happy with him, I haven’t been, at the beginning of the season.

“It is sometimes getting better, but this is still a part of his game where he can be more aggressive sometimes.

“If he is, then he has a very good package as a centre-back because he reads the game very well, he has a fantastic build-up of the game and then he is a very good player.” (per Daily Echo)

It seems as if Hasenhuttl hasn’t seen enough of those improvements from Stephens, as he has found himself on the bench more often than not so far this season.

If he can’t re-establish himself in the first-team at all during the busy Christmas period, then it would perhaps not be a surprise to see the £4.95 million-rated defender leave Southampton in the not too distant future.

وتابع: “لكن في أحد الأيام، في أياكس (فريقه السابق)، قدموا لنا بعض البيانات المتعلقة بالجوانب التكتيكية، وفوجئت برؤية كيف في المواقف المتعلقة بمرحلة بناء الهجمات التي تنتهي بالأهداف، خرجت كأحد النقاط البارزة مع وجود مثل هذه البيانات في متناول اليد، وتمكنت من الرد على زملائي بمزاح”.

واستطرد دي يونج: “هناك لاعبون لا يهتمون بها كثيرًا، لكن في حالتي أعتقد أن البيانات عنصر يساعدك على التحسن، بعد الألعاب وبعض الجلسات التدريبية، سألت عن أرقامي لمعرفة ما إذا كانت تستجيب للمشاعر التي شعرت بها، من الجيد أن تحصل على هذه المعلومات، لأنها تعطيك صورة حقيقية لما عملت عليه”.

وأتم دي يونج: “البيانات عنصر سيأخذه اللاعبون والوكلاء في الاعتبار بشكل متزايد عند تحديد أي منافسة أو نادي أكثر ملاءمة لخصائصهم، شعور كل لاعب مهم، لكن البيانات يمكن أن تساعدك على اتخاذ القرار”.

Aston Villa must surely consider going back in for Reading midfielder John Swift, after rivals Sheffield United appeared to drop out of the race to sign him.

What’s the story?

The former England U21 international was the subject of intense speculation over the course of the summer transfer window, with reports even going so far as to claim that Villa were ready to make a bid for him.

That however failed to materialise before the end of the deadline, but Villa could be tempted to go back in for Swift given what Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder had to say about possible incomings for the Blades.

He said: “There are conversations. There won’t be permanent transfers. There will be loans. There’s been discussions through agents who represent players and through clubs as well. It’s a fluid situation, as you can imagine. I’d like to use both loans and I’ll be putting my recommendations to the board.”

Potential McGinn upgrade

With John McGinn woefully out of form this season for Villa – he’s managed no goals or assists in the Premier League since mid October – Smith must surely be looking at Swift as someone who could add a bit of dynamism and spark to the centre of midfield.

The Reading ace hasn’t featured much for the Royals this season due to injury, but he does have a track record of being someone who can offer a goal-scoring threat, managing 45 goal contributions in 152 games for the club.

And after he put an impressive performance against Leeds United last season in the Championship, Marcelo Bielsa made it quickly just how much he likes him, saying: “Swift is a great player. I rate him a lot. He is a player who appears suddenly in attack and the same in transition. Especially when he passes from the defence to the attack.”

The £4.5m-rated man could give Villa an extra edge in the middle of the park.

Alguns clubes da Primeira Liga podem tomar uma atitude drástica em solidariedade a Flamengo e Fluminense, que estão sendo ameaçados de punição pela Federação de Futebol do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Ferj) caso participem da competição. Segundo informações do portal “Terra”, Grêmio, Internacional, Cruzeiro, Atlético-MG, Coritiba, Atlético-PR, entre outros, se dizem prontos a não disputar o Campeonato Brasileiro caso os times cariocas sejam punidos de alguma forma.

Os representantes de todos os clubes da Primeira Liga se reuniram na última terça-feira, no Rio de Janeiro, e garantiram que a competição vai acontecer este ano. No comunicado divulgado após o encontro, foi divulgado que o torneio começa no próximo dia 27.

A presidente da Ferj, Rubens Lopes, disse que está aberto ao diálogo com Flamengo e Fluminense. Ele diz que só permitirá a participação da dupla se aceitarem algumas imposições.

A situação deve ser amenizada ainda nesta semana. O presidente do Cruzeiro, Gilvan de Pinho Tavares, que também é mandatário da Liga, deve se reunir com Rubens Lopes para aparar as arestas e resolver a questão. O encontro não contará com representantes de Fla e Flu.
