O Vitória retomou a liderança do Grupo 1 do Campeonato Baiano ao derrotar por 2 a 0 o Feirense, na tarde deste sábado, pela quinta rodada do Campeonato Baiano, no Estádio Barradão. os gols foram de Robert e de Diego Renan, de pênalti, um em cada tempo. O Rubro-Negro foi para dez pontos e ultrapassou o Flamengo de Guanambi, que na sexta-feira à noite derrotou por 2 a 1 o Fluminense de Feira e está com oito pontos. O Feirense é o quarto colocado do Grupo 2. com apenas três pontos.

O destaque do Vitória foi Robert. Ele voltou de uma lesão que o tirou dos gramados por quatro meses e foi muito bem, abrindo o placar ao escorar um cruzamento de Maicon Silva logo aos seis minutos de jogo, além de aparecer bem em vários lances. O Vitória foi sempre melhor e reclamou da arbitragem que não deu pênalti claro a seu favor e ainda anulou um gol legítimo de Euller. Mesmo assim, o time mandou em campo e ampliou aos 21 minutos da etapa final. Vander foi seguro na área. Diego Renan cobrou o pênalti e fez 2 a 0, para alegria dos seus torcedores (4.013 pagantes).

A rodada baiana segue neste domingo com Bahia de Feira x Bahia, Galícia x Vitória da Conquista, Juazeirense x Jacobina e Colo Colo x Jacuipense.

In an exclusive interview with Football FanCast, former Newcastle United midfielder Steve Howey has been talking about Liverpool’s reported interest in Leeds United winger Raphinha.

The Brazilian joined the Yorkshire side from Stade Rennais during the summer and has impressed in the Premier League so far this season, contributing four goals and four assists in 17 appearances; averaging a solid 7.01 rating.

As a result, it has been reported that the 24-year-old is top of Jurgen Klopp’s scouting list ahead of the summer transfer window, as he looks to bring in more competition for his front three.

The Reds already brought in Diogo Jota from Wolves last summer and he was superb before his injury, but the Merseyside outfit have struggled in his absence and have been extremely reliant on Mohamed Salah for goals in recent fixtures.

Here’s what Howey had to say about Liverpool potentially signing Raphinha when speaking exclusively to FFC:

“Do they really need him? For me, it comes down to the player. Does he want to play week in week out and be a part of something? Or does he want to be a bit-part player at Liverpool? Me, personally? Week in, week out playing football, every day of the week.”

Howey certainly seems to feel that if the £16.2 million-rated Raphinha were to join Liverpool, then he would be on the fringes of the first-team squad, whereas at Leeds, he could continue to be a key player, something which he feels would be better for the Brazilian’s career.

Considering Leeds’ impressive first season back in the Premier League, it is easy to see why Howey feels this way, but if the 24-year-old wants to challenge for major trophies in his career, then perhaps he would be best served moving to Anfield, where he would no doubt be confident in his own ability to challenge the likes of Salah and Sadio Mane for a starting spot in Jurgen Klopp’s side.

وأضاف: “كارلوس كيروش مدرب جديد مع منتخب مصر ويجب أن يحصل على وقت لكي يتعرف عليهم ويحضر أفكاره واستراتيجيته، على الاتحاد المصري أن يصبر عليه والنتائج ستأتي مع الفريق”.

وأردف: “أتمنى ألا نواجه المنتخب المصري وألا نخسر منتخبًا بهذا المستوى ونرى نجوم الجزائر ومصر في كأس العالم”.

واختتم: “وجهة يوسف البلايلي؟ حتى الآن لا أعرف وجهته، البعض يقولون أوروبا والبعض الآخر يقول الأهلي، حتى الآن لم نتعرف على وجهته”.

كشف الفرنسي ماثيو بودمر، لاعب فريق باريس سان جيرمان السابق، والصديق المُقرب لجناح الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي برشلونة، عثمان ديمبلي، موقفه من الاستمرار مع النادي الكتالوني من عدمه.

وينتهي عقد ديمبلي مع برشلونة في يونيو 2022، ولم تتوصل إدارة النادي الحالية حتى الآن لاتفاق مع وكيل اللاعب الفرنسي للاستمرار والتوقيع على العقد الجديد.

وقال بودمر في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة “آس” الإسبانية: “ديمبلي يريد الاستمرار في برشلونة، إنه يتماشى جيدًا مع النادي والمدرب، ويشارك بانتظام وتشافي أيضًا يُحبه”.

وأتم تصريحاته قائلًا: “ديمبلي عادةً لا يسهر كما يقولون، هو يريد النجاح في كرة القدم، ولا يخرج كثيرًا في الليل، وغير أسلوب حياته وأصبح لديه طباخ وأخصائي علاج طبيعي والآن أصبح أكثر احترافية، ويصل للتدريبات في الوقت المحدد وهذه تفاصيل مهمة”.

With Pablo Hernandez’s career at Leeds United winding down, Marcelo Bielsa may be on the look-out for someone to fill that potential void sooner rather than later.

The veteran Spaniard, who will turn 36 in a couple of months, has fallen out of favour at Elland Road this season, playing just 313 minutes of Premier League football.

Whether it’s his age, or even suggestions that both he and the manager have had a falling out, the writing is very much on the wall for Hernandez’s time in Yorkshire.

But with reports in recent days linking the Whites with a move for Real Madrid’s Lucas Vazquez, Bielsa could well find his perfect successor to Hernandez quicker than he expected.

Vazquez is predominantly a right-winger, but he appears to have all the tools in his lock for Bielsa to work his coaching magic and turn him into a number ten or someone to play just off the striker – just like Hernandez has done in recent seasons.

This season, the Madrid flier has managed five assists in all competitions, including a couple of big contributions in big games against the likes of Valencia and Celta Vigo.

Speaking last month, Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane raved about his match-winning performance against Vigo, saying: “What he’s doing right now doesn’t surprise us. Not only do I like him, we all like him because he is always on the job and reliable. He always gives everything on the pitch and we appreciate that. I congratulate him.”

Vazquez is a more creative force than someone with the directness and willingness to let fly like a Raphinha-type, and it’s exactly why he seems to be more in the mould of a Hernandez.

The 29-year-old has averaged a very impressive 1.7 key passes per game in La Liga, which would actually rank him joint-second in the entire Leeds squad. And given his natural instincts as a winger, he’s also a prolific dribbler, making 1.4 per game at a superb success rate of 71%.

To put that into context, Raphinha makes slightly less per game at 1.6, but with far less success (54%).  Hernandez’s best season in terms of dribbling at Leeds meanwhile saw him manage 1.8 per game in his first season at Elland Road.

Just like Hernandez, the 5 foot 8 Vazquez is small in stature, but has got all the footwork and trickery to make him a real danger for the opposition. If Orta can get this deal over the line, Bielsa could very well land Leeds’ next Spanish magician.

Like how Hernandez was converted from a flying right winger into a number ten, Bielsa could do the same with Vazquez. It’s all on Victor Orta to snap him up on a free transfer this summer.

West Bromwich Albion fans were far from happy with the performance of Matheus Pereira during their 1-0 defeat to Everton on Thursday.

The Baggies were beaten 1-0 at the Hawthorns by the Toffees, with Richarlison scoring the only goal of the game. It was a close affair, with both sides having three shots on target (SofaScore), but Sam Allardyce’s side were unable to get anything from the match after a late equaliser was disallowed for offside.

The defeat leaves them nine points from safety with just 11 games left to play (Sky Sports).

Pereira was far from at this best against Carlo Ancelotti’s side. He won just two of his seven duels and lost possession a whopping 24 times throughout the game, the joint-most of any Baggies player.

Despite being one of West Brom’s most creative players, he has too often been a passenger this term.

انتقد المدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي واتفورد، كلاوديو رانييري، الاتحاد النيجيري لكرة القدم بسبب عدم احترامهم اللوائح والقواعد ومواعيد إرسال استدعاءات اللاعبين قبل كأس أمم إفريقيا 2021.

وأعلن منتخب نيجيريا عن استدعاء مهاجم واتفورد، إيمانويل دينيس، في القائمة النهائية التي ستشارك في البطولة التي ستنطلق في 9 يناير حتى 6 فبراير 2022.

وتتواجد نيجيريا في المجموعة الرابعة التي تضم مصر، غينيا بيساو والسودان، وتبدأ مشوارها بمواجهة الفراعنة يوم 11 يناير في تمام الساعة السادسة مساءً بتوقيت “القاهرة”.

وتحدث رانييري عن الأزمة في تصريحات بالمؤتمر الصحفي عقب نهاية مباراة وست هام يونايتد في الدوري الإنجليزي، وقال: “لست متأكدًا من أنني سأفتقد دينيس الآن، لا أعرف ما إذا كان سيذهب إلى منتخب نيجيريا أم لا، يجب أن ننتظر”.

وتابع: “في منتخب نيجيريا لا يحترمون اللوائح أو المواعيد الرسمية لإرسال الاستدعاءات الدولية، لم يأت الخطاب في الوقت المناسب”.

وأضاف في النهاية: “وصل البريد الإلكتروني متأخرًا لاستدعاء دينيس، هل تعرف ما أعنيه؟ المنتخب لديه وقت محدد، خلال هذ الوقت عليهم إرسال الاستدعاء الرسمي، إذا لم يرسلوه في الوقت المحدد، فيمكننا الاختيار إذا كان سيذهب إلى نيجيريا أم لا”.

Carlo Ancelotti reportedly wants Everton to sign both Isco and Lucas Vazquez when the summer transfer window comes along, according to Defensa Central.

As per the outlet, both players are wanted by the Italian boss in order to try and convince James Rodriguez to stay with the Goodison Park faithful beyond the 2020/21 term.

The Colombia international has apparently not quite fully adapted to life in England yet and is having doubts about staying at the Merseyside club.

He allegedly wants to return to Spain and has not ruled out that possibility, as the Toffees are working to try and keep hold of the 29-year-old.

Both Isco and Vazquez are thought to be players that Ancelotti would like to sign in order to try and convince Rodriguez to stay, given that they all used to be teammates at Real Madrid.

Signing Isco and Vazquez could be smart business by Everton

Signing both Isco and Vazquez could turn out to be smart business by the Blues, especially if it means that Rodriguez is more likely to stay.

Isco was dubbed as an ‘outstanding talent’ by pundit Danny Mills back in November when EFC were linked with a January move for him, and has vast amounts of experience playing at the highest level, including in the UEFA Champions League, where Everton will surely be setting their sights in the longer term given their strong position in the Premier League at the moment.

Vazquez could also be another handy option to have and can fill in at right-back as well as playing on the wing if needed.

Isco is currently valued at £18m by Transfermarkt, and Vazquez at £13.5m, totalling £31.5m for the duo, which may be a decent price in today’s market.
