Devon Smith and Liam Sebastien starred with bat and ball respectively to guide Windward Islands to a three-wicket win in a rain-hit match at the Blairmont Sports Club. Sebastien, an offspinner, took a five-wicket haul to restrict Guyana to 170 before Smith took over, scoring 63 to help Windwards home in a tense finish.Windwards needed nine off the 27th and final over, bowled by offspinner Steven Jacobs. Guyana sensed victory when Smith was trapped lbw off the third ball but Kevin James upset the home side’s plans with a six to seal the victory with two balls to spare.Guyana, after being sent in to bat, were led by half-centuries by Travis Dowlin and Royston Crandon and the pair held the initiative with a stand of 103 for the third wicket. Crandon was the more aggressive of the two, hitting two fours and three sixes in his 48-ball 54. Dowlin top scored for his team with 59. The lower order, however, failed and Guyana lost their last six wickets for 36 runs. Nelon Pascal, the right-arm seamer, pegged away at the top order to finish with 4 for 33 while Sebastien cut through the lower order to finish with 5 for 28.Chasing 171, Darren Sammy and Smith came together at 60 for 3 and the pair rotated strike efficiently during their stand of 85 for the fourth wicket. Guyana fought back to pick up three wickets for 13 runs but when it came to the final over, they failed to close out the match.The other two matches in Georgetown, between Canada and Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica and the United States of America were washed out without a ball being bowled.

أعلن أحمد دياب رئيس رابطة الأندية المصرية المحترفة عن توقيع اتفاقية مع رابطة الأندية الإماراتية خلال المؤتمر الصحفي الذي عقد عصر اليوم.

وكانت رابطة الأندية قد أعلنت انعقاد المؤتمر عصر اليوم بأحد فنادق وسط القاهرة، كما تم السماح لكافة وسائل الإعلام بالحضور لتغطية الحدث.

ومن المقرر أن تلعب مباراة نهائي كأس الرابطة بين فريقي فيوتشر وغزل المحلة يوم الخميس المقبل، الموافق 7-7-2022 على ملعب استاد القاهرة الدولي.

وتم توقيع اتفاقية التعاون المشترك بين رابطة الأندية المصرية ورابطة أندية الإمارات.

تفاصيل المؤتمر:

قال أحمد دياب رئيس رابطة الأندية: “العلاقات بين مصر والإمارات تاريخية وسياسية والروح واحدة، وهناك بروتوكول التعاون بين الرابطتين المصرية والإماراتية شهدت بذل مجهود كبير”.

وتابع: “رابطة الأندية الإماراتية تعمل منذ 15 عامًا وسنفيد بعضنا البعض، وسيكون هناك فعاليات بين أندية مصر والإمارات والبروتوكول سيكون لمدة 4 سنوات”.

وأردف: “الاتفاقية لن تكون عبارة عن مباريات فقط، وسيكون هناك تنسيق وتعاون تكنولوجي وإداري”.

فيما قال عبد الله ناصر الجنيني رئيس الرابطة الإماراتية: “سيكون هناك أحداث مشتركة بين الأندية المصرية والإماراتية، والدوري المصري كبير ونتشرف بالتعاون مع الرابطة المصرية”.

Rangers released details of a new club movie, Relentle55 – The Inside Story, on Tuesday evening.

As to be expected, the official club post had a number of Gers supporters going wild on social media.

Steven Gerrard led the Light Blues to a first Premiership title in 10 years last season. Rangers went the entire league campaign unbeaten, winning 32 of their 38 fixtures but unfortunately with no fans in attendance, and supporters can now relive that historic year.

Rangers released a new film which shares unrestricted, unfiltered access of the title-winning season, including pre-season all the way through to those famous Ibrox celebrations in May. Fans will need to pay £4.99 to access the film, which is available on RangersTV.

The club shared a 64-second trailer of the film on their official Twitter channel. It didn’t take long for a number of Gers fans to flock to the tweet to share their positive thoughts, with one labelling it as ‘incredible’.

وبحسب صحيفة “Voetbal Nieuws” البلجيكية، من الصعب أن تتم تلك الصفقة لأن أندرلخت يمتلك لاعبين مميزين في نفس مركز بيرسي تاو في الوقت الحالي.

حتى مع مركز المهاجم الثاني الذي يجيده الجنوب إفريقي سيكون هناك لاعبون آخرون يمكنهم إبعاده عن تفكير الإدارة في أندرلخت في الفترة الحالية.

England opening batsman Andrew Strauss has said he and his team-mates are ready to play their two-Test series in India because of a “duty to the game”.The squad will fly to Abu Dhabi on Thursday before receiving their final security briefings from the ECB. If they are satisfactory the team will head to Chennai early next week to prepare for the first Test. Contrary to speculation the full England squad will travel and Strauss said they need to trust the security advice.”We’ve weighed up the pros and cons of going back on tour and I think we’ve all come to the conclusion, if the security arrangements are sufficient, we’ve probably got a duty to the game of cricket to get out there and play these two Test matches if at all possible,” he told BBC Radio Five Live. “That’s what his job is and it would be wrong for us to second guess his [security advisor Reg Dickason] professional opinion.”We travel round the world all the time, we often go to places that have had problems in the past and we put our faith in the security experts to tell us where is safe to travel and where isn’t and I don’t see why this should be any different.”Strauss was with the Performance Squad in Bangalore when Mumbai was hit by the terror attacks last week and flew home the day before the one-day squad. He said in the immediate aftermath of seeing the TV pictures thoughts turned to home and families, but a few days back in England has given players time to refocus.”To begin with there was a lot of shock and emotion because a lot of it seemed very close to home. When things like that happen you start thinking about being with your family and cricket probably doesn’t feel like such a big priority,” he said. “But having had a few days to let things settle down, you look at things a bit more logically and objectively.”The indications we’ve got so far is it is [safe] and once the full checks have been made then we can all make that journey to India on Monday. Aston Villa announced a new partnership with online betting company Parimatch on Monday.

However, their official club post on the matter didn’t go down well with a number of Villa supporters, who took to social media to vent their frustration at the news.

Some Villa fans haven’t been happy at the club’s association with betting companies this summer, including sleeve sponsor OB Sports and the launch of the $AVL Fan Token.

Parimatch, who have also partnered with fellow Premier League clubs Brighton and Southampton, ‘will provide fans, within appropriate age and territory restrictions, with the opportunity for matchday access, unique experiences and events’.

The company are also involved with Chelsea, Everton and Leicester, bringing their dealings with top-flight sides to six.

Villa fans react

Villa shared the news regarding an agreement with Parimatch on their official Twitter page. This is what these Villa fans had to say in reply, with many not happy and one labelling it as ‘disappointing’.
