A expectativa pela chegada de Cuca ao São Paulo voltou a entrar em pauta em entrevista coletiva com Vagner Mancini. Ao ser informado de que o técnico do Bragantino, Marcelo Veiga, se surpreendeu com a formação com três zagueiros do Tricolor paulista no duelo no Nabi Abi Chedid, Mancini explicou que não houve ‘interferência” do futuro treinador na escolha:

-Eu dificilmente usava uma linha de três zagueiros, mas você tem que tirar o máximo do elenco que você tem. O Cuca vai assumir o São Paulo, é óbvio que eu e ele mantivemos contatos desde o acerto, mas a escalação e as substituições estão nas minhas mãos – garantiu, para emendar em seguida:

– A surpresa foi marcar os laterais do Bragantino mais adiantado. Contra o Red Bull, a gente já usou três zagueiros, não entendi a surpresa.

Em seguida, o técnico interino detalhou como é a parceria com Cuca:

– O Cuca é um amigo meu no futebol. A relação é muito clara, é muito simples. Não dá para o Cuca dirigir o time de lá de Curitiba! Assim como durante o jogo, nos treinos ele não consegue fazer as mudanças. Quando a gente se encontra, quando fala pelo telefone, a gente discute o que a gente vem sentido. Eu estou aqui momentaneamente para ajudar o Cuca a desenrolar o seu trabalho.

أثارت فايزة العامري والدة ووكيلة أعمال كيليان مبابي، أزمة في باريس سان جيرمان، بسبب المغربي أشرف حكيمي.

واتهمت فايزة العماري بـ “عدم الاحترام” من قبل أليخاندرو كامانو وكيل أعمال حكيمي، وسط مزاعم تفيد بسعيها للعمل مع المغربي الدولي كوكيلة أعمال له.

وقد طلب أليخاندرو كامانو، من والدة مبابي أن تبتعد عن حكيمي، مشيرًا إلى أنه فوجئ بالشائعات التي تربط موكله بوكيل آخر.

وفي تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “ديلي ميل” البريطانية قال كامانو: “لا توجد فرصة لمغادرة حكيمي”.

وأضاف: “نحن مندهشون من أن الحقيقة الوحيدة المتمثلة في كونها والدة لاعب مهم تسمح لها بالتدخل في السوق”.

وأشار: “أشرف هو جزء من وكالتنا، وهو مقتنع بالمشروع لسنوات عديدة ولديه علاقة ودية مع مبابي نحترمها”.

وأردف وكيل حكيمي: “حقيقة أن المحيطين لـ مبابي يسربون أنباء مفادها أن أشرف يمكن أن يكون جزءًا من وكالته أمر غير معتاد بسبب افتقارهم للخبرة في السوق”.

وشدد: “كونها أم للاعب لا يكفي، يبدو لي عدم احترام المهنة، هناك وكلاء رائعون يتعاملون في سوق صعب للغاية، نعتقد أن هذا خطأ، ولا توجد فرصة (انضمام حكيمي لوكالة أخرى)”.

يأتي ذلك في الوقت الذي يرتبط فيه كل من مبابي وحكيمي بالرحيل عن باريس سان جيرمان في السوق الصيفي.

وارتبط حكيمي باهتمام مانشستر سيتي الإنجليزي، حيث يسعى بيب جوارديولا لضم بديل لكايل ووكر المرجح انضمامه إلى بايرن ميونخ الألماني.

وتلعب فايزة العماري دورًا محوريًا في مستقبل مبابي، ويرفض الفرنسي تفعيل خيار تمديد عقده حتى 2025 مقررًا المغادرة في يونيو 2024، مع ارتباطه بانتقال محتمل إلى ريال مدريد الإسباني.

عاد النادي الأهلي إلى الانتصارات بالفوز علي الإسماعيلي بهدف دون رد في المباراة التي جمعتهما اليوم الأربعاء بالدوري المصري الممتاز.

الأهلي فاز على الإسماعيلي في مباراة مؤجلة من الجولة الـ18 من عمر مسابقة الدوري، على ملعب برج العرب بالإسكندرية، بهدف سجله الجنوب إفريقي بيرسي تاو.

وكان الأهلي تعادل سلبيًا أمام فيوتشر في المباراة الماضية ضمن منافسات الجولة الـ24 المؤجلة.

وبفوز الأهلي علي الإسماعيلي عاد المارد الأحمر لطريق الانتصارات في ظل منافسته على حصد لقب الدوري المصري هذا الموسم 2022-2023.

St Lucia Zouks imploded in a chase of 176 to suffer an 83-run defeat against Barbados Tridents in St Lucia on Thursday.Chasing their second win in four games, St Lucia had a shaky start, losing opener Tamim Iqbal for 1 in the second over. Devon Smith and Andre Fletcher shared a 26-run partnership but their dismissals in the seventh over, to Barbados bowler Shannon Gabriel, left St Lucia struggling at 30 for 3. Herschelle Gibbs and Misbah-ul-Haq added 43 runs off 33 balls and looked set to pitch a rescue act for St Lucia before Rayad Emrit made a breakthrough in the 13th over. Looking to a turn a ball from Emrit to the on side, Gibbs walked across his stumps, only to miss the ball completely. That dismissal triggered a collapse, as St Lucia lost a wicket in every over thereafter to fold for 92. Pollard picked up two wickets, while Emrit finished with 3 for 19, accounting for Gibbs, Darren Sammy and Tino Best. Ashley Nurse, who had earlier dismissed Tamim, took the wickets of Shane Shillingford and Garey Mathurin in what was the last over to complete a comprehensive win.The Barbados innings of 175 was built around two partnerships, after Kieron Pollard chose to bat. Dwayne Smith and Shoaib Malik added 63 runs for the second wicket after Barbados lost opener Jonathan Carter for 4. Their partnership, which lasted a little over eight overs, took Barbados to a comfortable 83 for 1 in the 12th over, before Albie Morkel bowled Smith for 48. Umar Akmal and Shoaib Malik were dismissed in successive overs, with Best, who was suffering a slight niggle, coming on late in the innings to account for Malik. Kris Mayers and Pollard, however, blitzed a 57-run partnership in 22 balls to take the total past 150. Pollard dominated the stand, smashing 34 off 21, including one four and three sixes. Nurse hit a six off the last ball to take Barbados to 175 for 6.Having lost their second successive match in a row, St Lucia are now languishing at fifth place on the points table and may have to play without Best in their next game against Jamaica. The report of Ravi Sawani, the former ACSU chief who investigated the corruption allegations involving three Rajasthan Royals players, has been handed over by BCCI president N Srinivasan to the BCCI’s disciplinary committee, comprising vice-presidents Niranjan Shah and Arun Jaitley. This committee is then likely to present its findings at the BCCI annual general meeting in September-end.Sawani, the head of BCCI’s anti-corruption and security unit, was asked to investigate the spot-fixing allegations against Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan. It is understood that Sawani sent in his report directly to BCCI president N Srinivasan last month.Interestingly, Sawani finished his report without meeting Chandila, who has been in judicial custody of the Delhi Police since May 15. Although Chandila has made public comments recently, he has not met Sawani, who had met the other two arrested players and former domestic player Amit Singh, who allegedly played the role of the bookie, according to the police, Siddharth Trivedi and Harmeet Singh, both Royals players who agreed to be prosecution witnesses.It is understood that Sawani submitted his report in two parts: one without examination of the players and later a supplementary report which involved facts about his cross-examination of the accused. Once Chandila is released, Sawani is expected to include his version and then update his report.

Faisal Iqbal has said that he is ready to prove his worth in the upcoming Tests against Zimbabwe, should he get the chance

Another tour, another opportunity and more hope for middle-order batsman Faisal Iqbal to find his identity within the Pakistan team. Since his debut in 2001, Faisal operated mostly as a “replacement player”, in the shadow of Mohammad Yousuf and Inzamam-ul-Haq, and was never able to cement his place in the team.He has played 26 Test matches over the past 12 years. He last played for Pakistan in 2010 but was part of the Test squad for last one year without being part of the playing XI. He was retained in the squad for the two-match Test series against Zimbabwe but uncertainty looms over his chances to play. Azhar Ali, Younis Khan, Asad Shafiq and Misbah-ul-Haq ahead of Iqbal in the pecking order to occupy the middle-order spots, while Mohammad Hafeez and Khurram Manzoor will mostly be preferred to open the innings. Should he get the chance, the Zimbabwe Tests, he knows, could be crucial for his career.”I always have been treated as a replacement in past. I was actually groomed to take over from Inzamam or Yousuf once they were done with their careers, but unfortunately I have been deprived,” Iqbal told ESPNcricinfo. “For most of my career, since my [international] debut, I have kept waiting for a proper slot so that I could play as a permanent player, and I am obviously disappointed. But I am always optimistic and ready to grab the chance.”It would be great to get games in succession to prove myself. I obviously won’t be looking at Zimbabwe as an easy opponent as, for a batsman, it’s all about one good ball. They are after all an international side and every run is important against them. I have plenty of experience and even scored an ODI hundred in Zimbabwe, so things won’t be alien for me.”Iqbal, who is a nephew of former captain Javed Miandad, had a prolific career at junior level, from his time with the Under-15s. But his time with the seniors has, for the most part, been overshadowed by allegations of nepotism, something Faisal describes as a “daunting factor” and one of the major blows for his career.”I might have been victimised in past and things have not been fair for me,” he said. “I am a professional player and have never taken my cricket for granted. I have scored runs on the ground with my own hands, haven’t I?”He has often impressed on comeback: after his first recall in 2002, he scored 83 against Australia; then came 139 against India – the highlight of his career – which helped Pakistan to a 341-run victory in Karachi in 2006. In that fateful series against Sri Lanka in early 2009, he scored a half-century in his first innings back. His problem, though, has been consistency. A lack thereof has resulted in him being repeatedly dropped.Faisal will be hoping to get his chance on September 3, when Pakistan face off against Zimbabwe in Harare for the first of two Tests. This time, he’ll hope to make that good start and go on to build on it.
