تحدث علاء وحيد المتحدث الرسمي باسم مجلس إدارة نادي الإسماعيلي عن مواجهة الأهلي، التي أقيمت مساء أمس على أرضية ميدان استاد برج العرب بالإسكندرية، والتي أدارها تحكيميًا إبراهيم نور الدين.

وكان الأهلي قد نجح في تحقيق فوز صعب على الإسماعيلي بثنائية دون رد في المباراة التي أقيمت بينهما في إطار مؤجلات الجولة الـ12 من عمر الدوري المصري الممتاز.

وقال وحيد في تصريحات إذعية عبر أثير “أون سبورت إف إم”: “كنا نثق في التحكيم قبل المباراة ولم نرضخ لضغوط الجماهير بالشكوى ضد الحكم”.

وأضاف: “ولكننا تعرضنا للظلم كثيرًا في المباراة، لعبة حسين السيد ركلة جزاء واضحة بدليل أنها احتسبت من قبل، جمهور الإسماعيلي يشعر بالظلم ويطالب الإدارة بالإنسحاب من الدوري”.

واستطرد: “الحكم الدولي السابق سيد بشير أكد صحة ركلة جزاء الإسماعيلي ونفى صحة ركلة جزاء الأهلي، إذًا طالما هناك اختلاف بين الحكام فما بالك بالجماهير”.

وتابع: “بالتأكيد فريق الإسماعيلي لديه أخطاء وسنتداركها وسنجتهد لاصلاحها خلال الفترات المقبلة، والنتائج الجيدة قادمة باذن الله”.

واستكمل: “أتمنى اعتذار بيتسو موسيماني مدرب الأهلي لحارس مرمانا محمد مجدي”.

وأتم: “تغيير الجهاز الفني أمر غير وارد، واللجنة الفنية مستقرة على استمرار دراجان يوفيتش ويقتنعون أنه جاء في ظروف صعبة، وتواجهه بعض العكوسات ولكن لدينا اقتناع بأدائه”.

Tottenham Hotspur fans have hailed Fernando Llorente after he wished the club’s fans farewell on Twitter.

The Spaniard has completed a move to Napoli following the expiration of his contract at Spurs.

Indeed, Llorente enjoyed an exceptional season in 2018/19, particularly in the Champions League.

The former Swansea City striker scored the winning goal, via his hip, in the quarter-final against Manchester City and played a key role in the semi-final defeat of Ajax.

He wrote on Twitter: “After two wonderful seasons, today I say goodbye to Tottenham. It was a pleasure to wear this shirt and wherever I go there will be always a space in my heart for Tottenham and for their fans. I wish you all the best for this season and for the future! Thanks. #COYS.”

In total, he scored eight goals in all competitions last season and was largely content with playing back-up to first-choice Harry Kane.

Spurs failed to buy a striker to replace Llorente and currently have just the England captain as their out-and-out striking options, though teenager Troy Parrott could make a breakthrough this season.

And fans have inundated the 34-year-old with messages of goodwill as he embarks on the next chapter of his career.

A couple of days after someone

Surely, Man United will be hoping to wrap up some big name signings in the coming weeks as Ole Solskjaer gets to work adding to his squad.

Some players will also inevitably be on their way out of Old Trafford too you would imagine, but getting the recruitment right in terms of incomings is the thing United simply have to ensure they get as close to perfection as possible this summer.

That’s why we here in the Tavern feel a big money move for Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen is something United need to seriously consider, with the Mirror reporting that his ‘dream’ move to Madrid has now collapsed

While Eriksen has been excellent for Spurs during his time there, United simply have to way of signing players who might be only coming along for the ride and a big contract, something we have seen happen far too often at the club in recent times.

If Eriksen’s heart was set as reported on a move to Madrid, then United need to ensure his head is right before committing to what will no doubt be a huge sum to prize him away from the London club.

Too many times in football we see clubs panic buy or not do their due diligence on players who they can attract, and this is the case with United in respect of Eriksen.

The Dane played a massive part for Spurs and their run to the Champions League final last season, but at a time when the focus seems to be on youth and development in terms of the Old Trafford transfer strategy, is signing a 27-year-old who has yet to prove it consistently on the biggest of stages really the wisest move?

Eriksen does, of course, bring with him class on the ball and could well improve further, but United really do need to think this one through before splashing the cash on the Spurs ace.

Leeds United fans on Twitter have been blaming the club’s terrible injury record for their failure to get promoted this season.

This comes after a detailed account of club stats detailing information about their injury problems was published by LUFC data on social media.

The Whites’ three strikers seemingly had it the worst out of everyone, with Kemar Roofe, Tyler Roberts and Patrick Bamford all failing to play more than 60% of games. 

Leeds supporters have often pointed towards their failure to put away chances as the main reason for their failure last season, but it seems that the amount of time their strikers spent on the sidelines contributed to that.

Indeed, Leeds did have the worst conversion rate in the entire division, but their inability to keep their main strikers fit for any prolonged period of time clearly exacerbated the situation.

The Yorkshire club have been so unlucky over the past 12 months and if they can avoid another injury crisis during their second season under Bielsa, the outcome could be a triumphant one.

At just 16 years of age, Boateng is playing way above his age level and so the fact that he stands out amongst the Under-18s speaks volumes about his quality, although his extraordinary numbers in the middle of the park and in defence speak even louder.

A central player capable of operating as a centre-back or in midfield, the youngster has played 16 games for Paddy McCarthy’s development side this season, completing 14 blocks, 39 clearances and an astounding 70 interceptions, averaging over four per game.

Clearly the starlet can read the game extremely well and has even trained with the first team this season – yet another indication of how highly he is thought of at Copers Cope.

With Cheikhou Kouyate and Max Meyer joining in the summer, Roy Hodgson currently has a plethora of midfield options, although there is a very specific kind of player that the former England boss prefers in that area.

The aforementioned Meyer hasn’t featured nearly as often as many surely thought he would, with the legs of James McArthur and Jeffrey Schlupp chosen instead; it would seem that Boateng is exactly the kind of player Hodgson would love – someone who puts themselves about and can break up play before releasing a teammate.
